In the past Utilities, at times, caused more harm than good but recently, since my Dell came with a subscription, I was happy with it and I renewed it. This year the annoying screens from Symantic popped up telling me I had to renew. When I went to renew my subscription with Symantic they were going to charge me five dollars less than the whole product cost on their own site. It did not make sense. I looked around and found that it was much cheaper on Amazon and that for the whole version. Today the subscription expired and when I turned on my computer, all of Norton 360 products were off, not just the update features. In the past the basic product worked but you remained at risk for infections from a new virus. Now firewall, anti-virus, id protection and all else in the program is off. I might be wrong but it seems like 1) they do not give a damn about loyal customers and 2) the fact that they want $59 from me for a subscription and turned off all components seems to be underhanded. I know I can buy version 4/360 for $40 on Amazon but what about next year? I am seriously tempted to just switch but who knows. I also agree with the gentleman who complained about symantics customer service. I'm not too crazy about the fact that congress let all these jobs go overseas but I don't think I'd be half as pissed if they spoke english I could hear and understand. Tonight getting through was horrible.....it wasn't the fault of the people on customer service, you can tell they are trying, its the system. Ok, I'm finished.....a hundred years from now there better be a plaque for all of us who were pioneers and who funded the development of the personal computer.

Has good features and offers a comprehensive protection from all kinds of threat. I doubt that the previous version was not so good because our laptop had a malware threat which was not being detected by the previous one. ultimately we had to buy anti-malware to remove the threat. Would definitely recommend this version!!
